In the previous two blogs we established the first things to do after your home removals have taken place and then we discussed the ideas of dealing with your furniture and belongings once you had settled in.

Make a fresh start
Take advantage of the fact that you have unpacked everything and the home is as free and clear as it will be for quite some time until you start to accumulate more items/furniture or before you really dig into the place and make it your own. So take this opportunity to clean!
Cleaning the floors and baseboards will be easier at this point as too will the windows and any surfaces. You pretty much have unhindered access at this point to your new home. It shouldn’t be too clogged or cluttered so soon. Wipe down all the counters and surfaces in the kitchen and the bathroom; make phantom runs in the washing machine and dishwasher so you clean out all the excess lime scale and dirt. Give the oven a scrubbing and clean out the fridge/freezer before you begin to buy your big bulks of shopping.
