London Storage
As we move through the recent budget changes, more and more businesses are looking to cut costs. One good way of doing this is downsizing, but this can be difficult, especially if you’re a business that goes through busy periods.
But what if you want to cover the busy business periods without paying for the extra storage?
The simplest solution is commercial pallet storage, whereby you can relatively cheaply arrange to get your products stored for the short or long-term and gain access to them when you need them.
Trek Removals has always offered storage to both private and commercial clients, but now we’re offering a fully fledged pallet storage service and all within the M25.
Our new service offers businesses real flexibility when it comes to their goods and all within an economical package.
Commercial pallet storage starts at just £2.50 per pallet, with a load / offload cost of just £3.00 per pallet.
We’ve done our homework and we know that these prices are extremely competitive to clients and more importantly that they are significantly lower than renting your own warehouse storage, which can costs tens of thousands of pounds in and around London.
The system we use is 100% secure, has 24 hour CCTV and easy access and best of all there is no minimum storage period, so you can store your goods for a day or a year with no hidden costs.
Many businesses are now utilising the flexibility of commercial pallet storage, seeing it as a chance to grow their business without the gigantic costs involved in having a warehouse, all the business rates that are associated with it and of course the cost of additional staff to man it all.
So whether you’re a small retailer looking to grow or you’re a large retailer that’s running out of your current space, consider Trek for your commercial pallet storage.
We can even arrange collection and delivery of your pallets at your convenience and you’ll be glad to know that we are fully insured, with many years of experience to impart.
Give us a call today and see how we can help you!
While we are very proud to be a well known and highly trusted London removals service, we also take pride in the fact that we are also a highly regarded storage company, storing everything from hotel tables through to entire house contents.
Our services are broad and we offer 24 hour security as standard, we’re fully insured and all clients get exclusive access to their belongings, without any hidden charges.
We over personal storage, commercial storage and have the facilities to store home contents / furniture.
We also offer packing materials as well as a pretty nifty packing service if you are too busy to do that yourself.

Many people use storage when they move, or perhaps when they go to university for example, but as we approach Spring, there is also a need for storage so that home decorating / works can take place without ruining your possessions.
Our storage facility is guarded by CCTV at all times, our service is extremely high and you’ll find us to be one of the most competitive storage companies in London.
Case Study
Julia was offered a temporary, job relocation and needed to move to another area of the UK for 12 months. This was a great opportunity but Julia was worried about the costs associated with moving, but more importantly she was worried about how she would meet a mortgage payment and a rent payment each month.
She didn’t want to sell her property and so, she decided to let her two bedroom flat out to professionals.
While trying to find the perfect tenants, she was constantly asked for unfurnished and part-furnished options so she knew she was going to need to find somewhere to store everything if she was going to successfully let out her flat.
So, she decided she would let out her flat as a part-furnished concern and arranged for a packing service to pick up her bed, her sofa and some of the things she wanted to keep but couldn’t take with her to her new job.
So once packed, the items were then picked up and moved for her to secure storage for 12 months, giving Juila, the chance to have, a stress free work relocation without any worry about money.
Whatever reason you may have for storage, Trek Removals can help you, pack the items for storage up for you and collect them in a fuss free manner, without paying through the nose.

When it comes to removals in London, we have helped a number of people and businesses and home owners alleviate the stress of moving from one place to another.
However, there is one part of the whole experience which often gets overlooked – even though it can cause a problem when you move from or to anywhere. Cleaning!
Let’s face it, it’s no one’s favourite job and can take a lot of time, especially if it needs to be done to a high standard. And do you really want the guy that’s responsible for your website spending time cleaning skirting boards and desks? This is particularly important when you consider how much his hourly rate might be, meaning his efforts are better placed elsewhere.
Countless times businesses have moved in to sparkling new offices, only to find that there isn’t much of a shine on anything, just a lot of builder’s dust to ruin clothes, computer and IT equipment and provide staff with what is generally an unpleasant experience.
Needless to say this has serious implications on costs as well, because the longer your staff are cleaning and tidying up, the less time they’re spending on what’s important…your clients and business.
And if you’re a homeowner, you probably have better things to do than clean the house you’ve just left. After all, you’ll be pretty preoccupied with the boxes at the other end of the move!
So, in a change to our normal blogging antics, we thought we would let you know a bit about the cleaning service we offer.

It isn’t completely new, but it is a bespoke service we offer to our clients as we know that it is not a lot of fun after you’ve spent all of your energy organising a move.
The cleaning service is highly competitive and is designed to give your home or office a thorough clean so you can worry about more important things.
Our cleaning team are highly experienced, thorough and can make a room look and smell fresh with ease.
We provide all the best cleaning materials and equipment required and it can be booked as part of your removal.
So if you’re not relishing the thought of cleaning in the middle of your move – whether that’s from an office in London to er..another office in London or if you’re worried about keeping the kids occupied during house move, then contact us to see how we can help you.
We offer a professional removal and can easily add our cleaning service for you – yet again taking some of the stress and strain away from you.
The team at Trek!
Who would have thought that 2011 was going to go as quickly as it has?
It’s been incredibly busy for Trek Removals this month and will most likely continue into the New Year. Essentially, everyone is coming home or going away for the Christmas holidays, some are moving permanently, others need transit from one place to another, while some are looking for storage solutions during their time away, which means there is a lot of activity going on over here.
With Christmas on everyone’s minds and everyone needing to get from one place to another there seems to be a desire for home removals and removal services across the UK in order to transport the goods that go wherever the people go.
We feel a little like Father Christmas making the rounds all over London and the UK and parts of Europe in order to make our deliveries. We may lack the eight reindeer, sleigh and red pyjamas but we can certainly guarantee timely delivery on the things that matter most to people.
So what are we covering this Christmas and New Year’s so you can get a comprehensive idea of what services are available to you?
It’s a veritable schmorgesborg of options, services and possibilities for families, businesses and individuals including:
- House removals London
- Flat removals London
- Flat & House removals to Europe
- Student removals and goods transportation
- Office removals/office relocations
- General moving & relocation
- International removals to Europe
- Nationwide removals
- Storage solutions
So look at the list and see what might be the option for you if you need a removals service.
Of course, Christmas is busy enough as it is without needing to move home which is why we see less home removals during this month, but we do see an increase in other requirements and requests such as transporting student goods home, European removals to France and other assorted EU countries, lots of requests for London storage (particularly come the New Year) and office relocations.
The reason the end of a year and the beginning of a new one are so crazy busy for removals companies is that people are on the move. Some are going on long holidays or moving overseas, some are returning home for the Christmas holidays and need to move back many of their items safely, and there’s always the need for storage.
We’re ready for any eventuality this Christmas with plenty of storage, plenty of transport and plenty of goodwill to export to everyone in the UK and Europe.
In the meantime, Merry Christmas from Trek Removals.

Trek Removals started blogging back at the start of 2011 in a bid to raise awareness of our services and the home removals process from doing it yourself to using a professional home removals company. We wanted to impart useful information on things like moving home, moving office, international moves and storage for a wealth of various sectors, movers and shakers.
Several months later… and we’re taking a look back at where we started and what we have covered in that time. So for any late comers searching for expert moving advice you’ve come to the right blog. This is the 1st part in an ongoing series that will index and cover all the topics we have explored in the time that this blog has been going.
The objective was clear from the start for us; offer useful, practical and enlightening information and facts about the removals process, as well as providing cautionary tales, case studies, detailed step-by-step guides and key factors for home movers and businesses who are interested in quality, expert services for economical value.
So let’s start at the beginning in this new series to recap and index where we have taken you and what we have imparted along the way.
1. Handy tips on how to pack with London removals
We wanted to start off simple and give practical information to our readers. This introductory blog did exactly what it says on the label. It provided a brief list of useful moving tips for putting together a home move.
2. Benefits of London Storage
The emphasis here was on introducing readers to the idea of storage facilities. Storage units have 101 uses for domestic or business purposes. This explained how Trek storage worked.
3. How to find a good London removals company
How indeed! Trek Removals recommended people to go out and ask for word of mouth recommendations in order to get a non-biased perspective when it came to home removals. It also addressed ways to test a removal company’s reliability through their years on the job, their levels of experience and their professionalism.
4. London Removals: Have you made your checklist? 2-4 weeks before removal day
Trek Removals have a comprehensive checklist for people to use when it comes to moving home and the removals process. This blog was the first in a series that detailed the importance of being thorough with your planning and packing. We suggested the steps that a person would need to take in order to prep their home removal 2 weeks to a month before moving day.
5. London Removals: Have you made your checklist? The last week before removal day
This was the second part in the “checklist” series that addressed the preparations required for home removals. This blog focused on the last week before removal day and the crucial points one should cover in order to make a hassle-free transition to a new property from dealing with furniture and appliances to making the final arrangements.
This concludes the first part of Trek Removals look back at its blog archives. If you need further information that you can’t find in our blog, please Contact Us. Alternatively, if you are looking for a free moving quote we can certainly help you; just click on the link.

When it comes to home removals, there’s a lot to consider. In fact, people spend so much time thinking about how they are going to move home and what they need to get together in order to pull it off that they sometimes forget to adequately prepare for what happens AFTER they move into their new place.
Trek Removals thought it was time to address the issues of a post-home move. In the previous blog we gave you some initial advice about the do’s and don’ts on how to tackle the process of settling into your new home, which can be read HERE.
So what comes next now that you’ve moved in; secured your environment and spent your first night in the place?

Consider your space
You may have already started the unpacking but have you fully considered the space around you? Maybe a few months ago before your home removal took place when you were still property hunting you had a mental image of what you wanted to do with certain rooms and pieces of furniture, but now all the moving is done and the deeds have traded hands, it’s a different story. Now you just want to get everything unpacked and put away so you can rest!
Now, your options depend on whether or not you have used a professional home removals company or moving company to help you with the home move in the first place. If you’ve got the manpower on side, then its best to use them when they deliver your belongings and take the time to direct them to the right rooms with the right boxes. A decent removals company will do all the heavy lifting for you. Floor plans can help if you are inclined to be as prepared as that. Anyone who read our blog on “What Kind of Home Mover Are You?” would know that someone who is prepared like that would be considered a “Monica.”
If you decided against using a home removals company and took on the responsibility of moving home yourself then it’s all down to you to get everything to the right rooms. If you’re well prepared enough you should have a detailed inventory that you can use to check your items against to make sure you have no damaged or missing belongings. Be sure to sweep for the previous homeowners items – things they may have left behind. If you find anything put it in a box and arrange for a delivery or collection at a later date.
It’s always a good idea to unpack legal and financial documents early on and store them in a safe place where they won’t get blemished or lost.
Now it’s time to think about arrangement of furniture. What should go where and how will it look? Aesthetic choices are up to the individual of course but it’s always a good idea to leave any large decorating jobs or interior design work until after you have settled in a few days. Give yourself time to consider the space and what you can do with it.
If you decide to carry out interior design or redecoration work immediately it is advisable to arrange with the home removals company you used to keep some of the larger items you own in storage until you have completed the alterations. This saves you having to plastic sheet large objects unnecessarily or work around sofas and tables when it can be avoided. Home removals and storage companies should be able to provide you with storage facilities that can assist with this.
The space in your new home after you have moved in is so very important to get right. It can make a difference to how you adjust and feel about the property weeks or even months down the line. There are so many aspects to what happens after a home removal that we simply do not have enough time to cover it all in one blog, so keep your eyes peeled for the next part in this series where we give you some more free moving advice and tackle the issues that new homes can bring.
